#005 Vanessa Aldous is a Registered Psychologist who has been consulting to businesses predominantly in the Mining and Resources sector for the past 16 years. Vanessa is passionate about creating individual and cultural change that will enhance the performance and outcomes of organisations committed to continuous improvement with real results. 

Vanessa has extensive experience coaching leaders across all levels of the organisation, from the CEO to Frontline Leaders. Her understanding and awareness of human behaviour, change and psychological processes enable her to provide real coaching targeted at shifting attitudes, promoting self-awareness and assisting leaders to create high performing teams as well as influencing behavioural change within the organisation. 

Over the past 16 years, Vanessa has facilitated, developed and designed world class Leadership and Safety Leadership programs with a strong focus on the Psychology of Leadership and Safety. Her facilitation skills have been sought after by many clients to deliver presentations at conferences as well as to workforces for over 300 people. Furthermore, Vanessa has coached, mentored and trained other consulting psychologists in mastering the skills of facilitation. 

Vanessa takes pride in delivering Cognitive Behavioural based Safety Leadership programs. Through authentic leadership, effective communication and facilitation skills.

Something we didn’t talk about but is definitely noteworthy Vanessa is a triathlete; completed 8 x Ironman distance races, including the World Championships in Hawaii

She can’t remember how many Half Ironman races she has completed but includes 4 x World Championship events; Mont Tremblant, Canada, Sunshine Coast, Australia, Chattanooga, USA, Nice and France. 

Cycled New Zealand 3 000km in 24 days, unsupported, from the tip of North Island , Cape Reinga to bottom of South Island, Bluff.
