LM1197 My Funeral
LM, Episode 1197, 3/30/23, My Funeral
My cousin, Dee Ann, and I were talking about funerals, because we’re at that age. I said my wife, Twyla, will, probably, shove my lifeless body out of a moving car into a ditch on a country road outside of Cincinnati.
Dee Ann says, “If you tell me, I’ll make sure you get the funeral you want.”
“Dee Ann, who do you think came up with the ditch idea? You may need to help Twyla shove me out of the car and it would nice if you said some nice things about me.”
Dee Ann says, “If you want me to say something nice, I may have to lie.”
“Well, Dee Dee, in death as in life, I am not above lies.”
She goes, “And you probably only have 25-30 years left, I may want to get started on that.”
Dee Ann always makes me laugh and you know how much laughter matters.
