LM1177 But I Don’t Want to Think About What I’ve Done

LM, Episode 1177, 3/9/23, But I Don’t Want to Think About What I’ve Done

Our grandson, Kai, has been staying with us this week, which means Twyla makes me eat at the table instead of on the bed watching TV.

Whenever Kai stays with us, he brings his cat, Fray.  Fray has lived his life among two large puppies, so he acts more like a dog than a cat.  Fray knows he isn’t supposed to walk on the counters and the table, but he defiantly does it anyway.

Our cat, Remus, has accepted Fray fairly well, they play together in the morning, but Remus is still suspicious of him.

Kai stays upstairs and this morning, instead of going up the 14 steps to make sure he’s up, I called his cell phone, saying this is your 7 am wake up call.  He grunts.  I go, “Oh, and tell Fray his room service will be there momentarily.”  Another grunt.

When I tell Twyla there is lots of humor wasted on him, she says, “Not everyone is up for your humor in the morning.”

At supper the other night I remembered one of my favorite Kai moments.  His dad had taken him in the other room to talk about his behavior.  We couldn’t hear anything that was being said until Kai blurts out, “But I don’t want to think about what I’ve done.”

None of us do, Kai, none of us do.

Thank you for listening and always remember laughter matters.
