LM, Episode 1169, 3/1/23,Happy Anniversary Twyla.

I fell in love with my wife, Twyla, at first sight.  As you can imagine, it took her longer.  But I remember that joyous day when she dropped the restraining order and said, “Fine, I’ll marry you.”  What can I say, she was drunk once.

Today is our 37th anniversary.

Like anyone in a long term relationship, we’ve had troubles and once we went to a counselor.  The counselor asks, “What has kept you together?”

In unison, we said, “We make each other laugh.”  I’m convinced the key ingredient in our relationship is laughter.

We were talking about how long we’ve been married and she says, “We’ve gone through so much in our time together.”

I reply, “Oh, it hasn’t been that bad.”

Twyla says, “Maybe not for you.”
