In this Part 2 episode, we cover intentionality with oneself, work, and relationships as well as spiritual healing and growing through faith to create a meaningful and balanced life.

Essence Smith is a DJ, entrepreneur and serves as the director of operations & communications for SocialWorks. In addition, Smith owns her own event planning business titled ELMS, event planning and production LLC, where she curates memorable events tailored to the vision of her clients. Though Essence is capable and more than willing to plan events of all themes and genres, within ELMS, her main focus is to produce events with a purpose — the purpose to support and elevate the importance of women of color. In response to COVID-19 and interest in looking to support Black female essential workers during these unprecedented times, on May 25, 2020, Essence and Chelsey launched the first Black Women Are Essential shirt in order to raise funds to provide 'BWAE' kits to 50 Black female essential workers across the Chicagoland area.
