Nearly 100 community members were drawn to Swanny City Park last night for a candlelight vigil organized by Moab Pride. The event aimed to hold space for lives lost to police brutality, and create strategies on how this rural Utah town can “do better and be better” for marginalized people and communities. Among solutions, accountability was a priority of many attendees, who called out Moab’s majority white community on individual and systemic racism. Tune in.
