On Nov. 9, City Council approved a short-term increase in electric and natural gas rates (ECA and GCA). Fuel prices are rising globally, resulting in higher costs for Springs Utilities to deliver energy. New rates were effective Nov. 15., 2021. Fuel prices have gone down, and as a result Colorado Springs Utilities proposed a decrease to the ECA and GCA.
