In this episode, Maggie and Karen are finishing things in advance of the Ravellenic Games!  Maggie’s finished her Zipper Socks, but has some stitches to pick up that were dropped on her Swirly Mittens, which will have to wait until after the Games and her yet-to-be-decided-on shawl is hopefully finished.  Karen, meanwhile, has finished her Inara Sweater (FINALLY), is nearly finished the Honey Cowl and will be doing the The Wallpaper Had it Coming (Again) Mittens for her Ravellenic Project.

And apparently we’re going to be starting a There and Back Again Story Scarf knitalong sometime soon, because people are feeding our craziness.

In  Geek Squee, there is news and trailers for all the things.  New Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer!  Fox/National Geographic’s reboot/update of Carl Sagan’s “Cosmos” hosted by Neil DeGrasse Tyson!  Benedict Cumberbatch with Sesame Street characters! We also found a great Geeky ABC by artist Otis Frampton, a YouTube video of Neil Gaiman reading Green Eggs and Ham for charity, and oh God, JKR whacked the hornet’s nest that is Potter fandom by saying she isn’t convinced anymore that Ron and Hermione should have ended up together.  Also: OMG Thor 2 outtake with Tom Hiddleston IN THE CAP COSTUME.  Speaking of costumes, we also got the first reveal of the 12th Doctor’s outfit.

For Cravings, Covets and Crushes, we had a belated exchange of holiday gifts, including some awesome nerdy jewelry from Spiffing Jewelry.
