Ever wonder why people get so defensive (or mad) when you talk to them about something they did that offended you? We can’t control others’ reactions or actions. All we can do is “control” us and try to tailor our delivery in the best possible way. Gaining insight around this widespread issue will help us all better tailor our reactions to this type of behavior. I know for me, this is a huge pet peeve, issue, annoyance, etc. Being defensive when confronted, playing the blame game, or the I'm going to be madder than you game are all toxic behaviors.
