Let’s Talk About It with Mariel Calara #CollegeLife

I’m a Filipino-American born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. I’m graduating from UT Austin with a major in Communication and Leadership and a minor in Italian Studies, and I started undeclared. I’ve been a part of wonderful programs like the UTNY internship program and the Second Day Fellowship, have done six internships, and a research project on the waste crisis in Rome. I’m pursuing a career in advertising and will be a remote Brand Strategy Intern with Droga5, an advertising agency in New York. I hope to move to NYC in the fall.
