Previous Episode: Covid Guinea Pigs

Ranveer Singh is the co-founder of the National Sikh Youth Federation (NSYF), a collective of Sikh activists, artists and academics that exist to serve the sovereign Sikh Nation.

NSYF aims to educate and inspire a generation through connecting them with Sikh history, philosophy, polity, culture and lifestyle.

Ranveer joined us this week to educate us on the Sikh genocide which took place in 1984 after the assassination of the prime minister, Indira Gandhi.

He talked about Sikhs desire for independence, the rise of Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale (leader of the Damdami Taksal) and the inaccuracies served by mainstream media and celebrities over the tragic events which occurred between 1 Nov 1984 – 4 Nov 1984.

Still to this day nobody has been brought to justice however as is with the BLM movement, it is crucial to inform ourselves of the history to understand how to move forward.

Thanks again to Ranveer Singh.
