“Leave me alone.”
[00:06]
Hello, everyone.
“〜okimasu/〜oite” has three meanings (=nuance) depends on the context; a) as advance preparation, b) for the next use, and c) leave it as it is”.
[00:23]
Let’s warm up with “〜oite” first.
Repeat after me
[00:29]
1. Please write. / Please write [beforehand].
2. Please read. / [as advance preparation]
3. Please open. / [leave it as it is]
4. Please close. / [leave it as it is]
5. Please turn on. / [leave it as it is]
6. Please turn off. / [leave it as it is]
7. Please wash. / [for the next use]
8. Please put away. / [for the next use]
9. Please put back in place. / [for the next use]
10. Please leave it. / Please leave it as it is.*
(*No big difference but the latter gives a nuance of “permanent”.)
[02:47]
Now, change ”masu form” into “te form” plus “〜okimasu”.
For example,
Kakimasu(write) → kaite okimasu
