EP026 - This episode of IBI is inspired by a Challenge I recently issue to myself aptly named the Ignite the Impact Challenge where, for 24 days, I will complete 24 MMUs using quotes from 4 of my favorite books. Why am I doing this? Because the MMUs are fucking awesome but more importantly I will be launching the Ignite the Impact Challenge officially in the new year, and this is considered my warm-up round.

For 4 of the MMUs I am using inspiration from the book The Way of the Superior Man, and for the bonus MMU I am using a quote from the book The War of Art.

Let me break down the episode with a super quick summary of the quotes I used for inspiration, and then you decide whether or not one or all of them are worth a listen...

MMU#1 (5:11) - “Good friends should not tolerate mediocrity in one another. If you are at your edge, your men friends should respect that, but not let you off the hook. They should honor your fears, and, in love, continue to goad you beyond them, without pushing you.”

MMU#2 (16:22) - “Without a conscious life-purpose a man is totally lost, drifting, adapting to events rather than creating events. Without knowing his life-purpose, a man lives a weakened, impotent existence, perhaps eventually becoming even sexually impotent, or prone to mechanical and disinterested sex.”

MMU#3 (41:20) -  “When you do your tasks in the right way, they liberate your life energy so that you can attend to what really matters - the investigation, realization, and embodiment of true freedom. Do you even know what this means? Have you devoted yourself to finding out the deepest truth of your own existence? If, in this very moment, your tasks are not supporting your life in this way, you must drop them or change them so that they do. Otherwise, you are wasting your life.”

MMU #4 (101:12) - “A fearful man who knows he is fearful is far more trustable than a fearful man who isn’t aware of his fear. And a fearful man who still leans into his fear, living at his edge and putting his gift out from there, is more trustworthy and more inspirational than a fearful man who hangs back in the comfort zone, unwilling to even experience his fear on a day to day level.”

BONUS MMU (126:56) - “It is one thing to study war, and another thing to live the Warrior’s life.”

Now that we've got that outta the way, here is what I am going to challenge you to do right now:

Hit me up on IG @ignitetheimpact so you can be one of the first to know when I launch the Morning Muscle-Up For Men Manual that has literally saved my life.

The manual is the answer to a very simple yet powerful question - how do we as men learn to master the challenges of relationships, and physical and mental health, as well as discover our purpose in life?

So, if you want to be one of the first to give the manual a go and ignite the impact you wish to see in your world, hit me up @ignitetheimpact RFN.

Hope you enjoy the episode.

We got this!
