Archbishop Desmond Tutu and His Holiness the Dalai Lama are two of the world's great spiritual leaders and they were also great friends.

Filmmaker and activist Peggy Callahan spent a week filming these two luminaries for "Mission: Joy," a new documentary about the importance of joy and how we can create more of it in our lives.

Peggy shares what she learned from these two holy men about gratitude, the solution to self-imposed suffering and how joy is a choice we can intentionally make.

She also discusses the Big Joy Project, the largest citizen science project ever undertaken. It's free to participate, takes seven minutes a day for seven days, and you'll receive a personalized blueprint at the end about how to maximize joy in your own life. Find out more at missionjoy.org/bigjoy. And learn more about the film at missionjoy.org.
