Episode 100! Time to Celebrate? Or Disappointed?

I can't believe that this podcast has made it to 100 episodes!  When I first started I never imagined where this show would take me or the people that I got to meet in the process.  

Most podcasts will do some sort of celebration episode when they reach 100.  However, a recent situation has seemed to put a damper on my festive spirits.

It is Tuesday night as I sit recording this episode.  The Tuesday before I was SUPPOSED to be flying to Phoenix for the Physician Wellness and Financial Literacy Conference hosted by WCI where I was supposed to give a talk.  Yet the universe had other plans for me.

Last night I tested positive for COVID.  No new exposures.  Nothing different at work.  No recent lifestyle changes that would have increased my risk for contracting this illness.  Yet here I am, sitting in my quarantined bedroom, flights cancelled, meetings postponed, and friendly get togethers I had planned at the meeting all but gone.  Needless to say, I was just a tad bit disappointed. 

Today's 100th episode I discuss how I dealt with and currently continue to deal with this situation.  Disappointment tends to be just a part of life, however some situations are harder to deal with than others.  

What can we learn from them?  How do we pick ourselves back up?  Do we give up or move forward?
