On today's episode, the HLN Team discusses cancel culture.

From the perspective of the person or organization being "cancelled", cancelling can only exist if you aren’t in your integrity or authenticity. Cancelling is often rooted in the fawn response, especially from the corporate perspective. In order to be "on the right side of history", organizations will often flip their messaging to reflect whatever feels safest for them.

From the perspective of the group pushing for cancellation, mob mentality and the desire to be “correct” can be very prevalent. Personal narrative often gets the backseat to societal narrative, and the nuance involved in all subjects is lost.

The conversation then shifts into identity, fluidity, and why dropping the need to self-identify for other’s sake can be a healthy response.
