To celebrate International Women's Day, this week we are covering the story of an absolute force of nature - Eliane Becks, or as some of you might know her, HIV Stigma Fighter. After her HIV diagnosis she initially began fighting stigma from behind her curtains, as she describes it, and then decided to be open about her HIV status. As her name would suggest, she has gone on to challenge stigma and help create real change for people living with HIV in multiple countries!
Addition requested by Eliane to complete her story: "I am from Burundi, moved with my husband to Luanda (Angola) went for HIV treatment in Pretoria(South Africa)"
