HSE ransomware attack - Is paying the answer?

The HSE is continuing to fight off the ransomware that has attacked it's IT system. All across the country hospitals and patients are feeling the effects with thousands of cancelled appointments.
But, what data has actually been compromised? And what the HSE will do next?
