Kristi is certified as a Master Gardener, a Physical Activity in Public Health Specialist, and in Youth Mental Health First Aid. She is currently completing the Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) program through the Mindful Eating Training Institute (METI). Her passion to empower and improve the lives of trauma survivors has led her to become a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist-Individual (CCTSI) through the Trauma Institute International. Personally understanding and witnessing the role of trauma and toxic stress on food behaviors, community health, and health outcomes, Kristi takes a trauma-informed approach to all her work. She also strives to educate and train others on how to take a trauma-informed approach to nutrition, health care, and wellness.
