In this episode...

Kristi Mollner is a registered dietitian practicing in Phoenix, Arizona. Kristi not only talks about trauma, but also toxic stress, which many entrepreneurs out there may be suffering with unknowingly. This episode is great for entrepreneurs or business owners who are in the wellness space and want to improve their skills and mindset around working with and alongside people with trauma.  I also love this conversation because trauma and mental health is highly stigmatized and it is important to bring awareness, resources, and tools to the forefront. 70% of Americans have experienced a traumatic event at some point in their lives, and this is something that we are not taught to navigate.

We talk about:

What trauma and toxic stress looks like at an individual and community level Recognizing different layers of trauma at different levels: Inter-generational, Historical, Community, Collective,  and Individual The high prevalence of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) among all Americans How chronically feeling 'triggered' into fight-flight-freeze can impact the body and health negatively and the importance of emotional-regulation , body-regulation, and self-care Body relaxation practices and mindful techniques to help regulate nervous system and improve healthKristi's high vibe practices to regulate her body and emotions
