Welcome to our new segment, "Three Minute Thursday"  (#3MinThursday) where I highlight a piece of wisdom I’ve come across from my own readings over the past week, or share with you an inspirational anecdote that can help you lead a more calm, free and full life. This week, we unpack the experience of "presence".

Presence is...noticing that dog on a leash smiling back at you as you pick up your drink at the coffee shop and you smiling back.

Presence is...tuning in to the sounds of the wildlife and the hum of traffic outside your window just before you settle into sleep. 

Presence is...spotting and admiring a flower as you walk by it on your way to a meeting downtown.

Presence...is feeling the warm rays of the sun heat your face during your lunch break.

Presence is...being able to smile at a stranger at the UPS store.

Presence is...acknowledging the deliciousness of each sip of your favorite cup of tea coffee or bite of your favorite food.

Presence is...tuning in to that feeling of gratitude as you watch your child giggle at the dinner table.

Presence is...the deep belly breath that you can take right now, as you are listening to me on this podcast.

Presence is your attention. It’s your senses activated. It your mind in the moment. And the more often you experience it, the more joyful your life becomes.
