Imagine spending 110 days swimming 900 miles along the length of the UK. Would you quit? What challenges would you encounter? What would keep you going?

Jasmine Harrison, 23-year-old, and the first woman to swim the entire length of the UK from Land’s End to John O’ Groats, shares her inspirational experience of her incredible and challenging adventure. Jasmine discusses the low points, how she dealt with them, and what she learnt about dealing with challenges.

Only two people had previously swum from Land's End to John o'Groats: Ross Edgley, who in 2018 was the first and fastest Briton to complete the swim in 61 days, and Sean Conway, who accomplished the feat in 2013.

Not unfamiliar with epic events Jasmine is also the youngest woman to row solo across the Atlantic. On December 12, 2020, after 70 days at sea, she crossed the finish line of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge.

When reflecting on the main challenges she encountered, Jasmine highlights the importance of having a team that is all aligned to the same purpose and goal, and how communicating openly and honestly with your team members is vital in order to unite your team.
