Today’s show is all about the value of solitude. It’s about the power of being on your own once in a while. Today, my guest is ME.

I decided to do a show about being alone because I thought it would be a challenge. And, because sometimes being alone is really good for us. Do you remember my episode with Dr. Keyna Rich, when we talked about self care? Well guess what? About 50% of people consider being alone to be an important component of caring for themselves.

I made up that statistic. I can do that kind of thing when it is just me. Being alone has all kinds of advantages, even though our modern world has tried to convince us that it’s a bad thing.

Today we are going to explore the value of solitude. We’ll talk - well, I’ll talk - about the difference between being alone and being lonely. I’ll share some stories about real life people who lived completely alone. I’ll give you some tips on how to make the best use of your time alone. And, finally, I’ll leave you alone so you can put it all into practice.
