This week I spoke to pole vaulter, Katie Nageotte, another athlete with her eyes on the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. In the 2016 Olympic Trials she tied for 5th, so is certainly on her way. She was the collegiate indoor & outdoor D2 national champion in 2013 and D2 national record holder, a n alternate for the world team in 2015, and a bronze medalist at NACAC games in 2015. Her current world ranking is 12th.
