In today's podcast episode, we interview Shauna Goodman the Executive Director of the National Sobering Collaborative.  Sobering Centers are a safe haven for publicly intoxicated individuals, helping them navigate through the process of sobriety and reintegrate into society. These centers serve as the front door to a path of healing, addressing immediate needs while fostering collaboration with community partners like police, ambulances and emergency rooms for comprehensive support. The National Sobering Collaborative (NSC), is dedicated to providing essential support to over 70 sobering centers across the nation. The NSC facilitates a national dialogue among providers and stakeholders, fostering an environment of collaboration and knowledge sharing. Through their annual summit, monthly network calls, and membership resources, the NSC connects hundreds of parties invested in sobering care, resulting in enhanced best practices, policy development, and programmatic improvements.
