HealthCare Untold Hosts Gerardo and Barbara discuss a recent Executive Summary on the 2022 Latino Gross Domestic Product by Matthew Fienup from the Center for Economic Research, California Center for Economic Research, California Lutheran University.  This report highlights the power of the Latino dollar and the total economic output (or GDP) of Latinos in the United States. The Latino GDP was $2.8 trillion in 2020, up from $2.1 trillion in 2015, and $1.7 trillion in 2010. According to this report, the Latino GDP would be the fifth largest GDP in the world, larger even than the GDPs of the United Kingdom, India or France.

The fact that members of the Latino community are younger and have not hit their top earnings means that our GDP will continue to grow and further support the US economy. Gerardo and Barbara emphasize the importance of investing in the Latino community's health and education to ensure that the US economy remains vibrant and booming!
