Erica B. Marcus is the author of Attention Hijacked: Using Mindfulness to Reclaim Your Brain from Tech. She serves as a mindfulness director for a small school district outside Portland, Maine. Her book, geared toward teenagers, is about how we can make peace, set boundaries and form mindful decisions around technology so that it is not an evil that should be avoided at all costs, but a helpful tool that can bring connection and greater wellbeing. Erica shares simple ways to examine technology usage, ideas for setting healthy boundaries with screen time, and some of the most surprising things she has learned about the value of spending time online.
