It has been 6 years since Jesse quit a 26-year addiction.  As a health professional that was teaching others how to be healthy, Jesse wasn’t taking his own advice.  With an addiction to chew, Jesse had tried patches, gum, and pills to quit.  It wasn’t until he figured out it was going to take hundreds of conscious decisions a day to not cave to stress and chew.  Jesse began to realize that he would chew to suppress negative feelings and emotions.  All he was doing was lying to himself.  He was addicted to lying. That may not have been the reason Jesse started, but it was the reason he continued.  Once Jesse figured out the root of his addiction, he was able to stop giving it power.  Listen in to find out what other lessons Jesse learned through his quit journey.
