Episode 23: Dave, Drummers and Dancing!! A Few of Our Favorite Things!

Who doesn’t love music?? In my journey of healing it has been a healer and a soother.

Dave Waters, owner of Golden Strip Music School joins Lyanca and I at the table to share his inspiring story using music as healer. Once a talented guitar player, Dave was in an accident which left him with a brain injury and now helps others learn and craft their music. His school is truly extraordinary, nothing else in the upstate compares.

His teachers are masters of guitar, piano, drums, you name it. Also using music for learning disabilities, he incorporates music therapy at the school! His students range from 7 years to 70, maybe older, but guess what?? I’m checking off another bucket list item and learning to play the drums!  Lyanca already has her musical talent, her voice! Could Dave create a possible music duo??
