Ouida Brown

Passionate, Motivated & Balanced are a few words that describe Ouida Brown. Ouida, a native of Atlanta, strives to inspire her clients to create a healthy self-love and positive changes in their personal and professional life through health and fitness.


A former competitive figure skater, she studied Business at Georgia Southern University, after many years and accomplishments in the mortgage industry, Ouida decided to go back to her athletic roots.


Ouida started fusion5Method in 2008 after many life changes, and embraced the world of wellness and vitamin  therapy after losing her mother to cancer and her father to heart failure. Her parents inspired her to become a Lifestyle Fitness Coach.


Ouida enjoys a fun loving relationship with her son, family and friends, and loves travel, reading, music, dancing, and laughing.

5 Awesome Secrets to Wellness Success for Women.

These 5 methods help drive people to happiness through wellness. Having these 5 principles keeps you on track on your way to happiness and wellness. The secret is to have a balanced regime every day.


nutrition |  exercise | sleep | water | meditation
Nutrition

The secret is to get to know your body.  Understand your body. Do you have an intolerances, diabetes, etc.
80% of wellness planning is about nutrition. Good wellness requires good nutrition.
 
Exercise
The secret is to know what your goals are first. Exercise and nutrition go hand in hand.
Get at least 5 days of exercise a week of at least 30 minutes each to improve your wellness and fitness.
 
Start writing a journal to track what you do and eat for 5 days to see what your patterns are and what the gaps are.
 
Sleep
The secret is to get 8 hours of sleep a night. Sleep is a time for your body to hone in on what needs rest. It helps to prepare you for complete wellness by repairing parts of your body.
 
Tips for a good night sleep:

Wind down after work
Reduce Stimulants (caffeine, sugar, etc.)
Take a warm bath
Prepare for bedtime - condition the body to know "this is the time to go to sleep".

Water
The secret is to have a water regimen.  Upon waking your body is already in a deficit. Waking with water is critical to a life of wellness. Some people add lemon or apple cider vinegar to start their day.
 
Water is "The Super Food", we need it for to prepare for wellness. You are more energetic, you are flushing impurities from the system.
 
Meditation

The secret is to be more aware of who you are and your body. Don't focus on "the image" everyone is different.


Focus on the breath, visualize yourself doing the exercise. This gets the body and mind working together. Being in the moment and aware are key.


Mindfulness and concentrating on our body and and mind working together will lead to a life of wellness and happiness.
