On my very first episode of the Glass Half Healthy, I take you through my journey to get here. The Lives that Saved Mine is not just the title of the episode but really, the theme of my life. And my journey is not mine alone, it started with my parents moving to the U.S. to provide us with opportunities for a better future. I discuss how losing my father inspired me from my prior career pursuits in international affairs to become a doctor. I also talk about my struggles, failures and triumphs along this path. Through it all, I reclaimed my health, reignited my passion for medicine and renewed my love for life but I did not get here by myself.

So, The Lives that Saved Mine is dedicated to not just my parents, but all the people - my family, my friends, fellow physicians, mentors and all the patients I’ve cared for - who helped me get here, in this moment, to help you redefine what health should mean for all of us. I hope my story inspires you to take action towards a happier and healthier life. Love, Dr. Jonar
