This week on Getting Literate, Katie and Julia tackle the sequel to The Handmaid's Tale -- The Testaments. The gals delve into what class of woman they'd choose to be (surprise, it's changed!), feminists who aren't really feminist, and the twisty, hole-y timeline between the first and second books. Julia really hated all the pedophilia in this book, and Katie thinks maybe Margaret Atwood wrote Aunt Lydia as a self-insert character. PLUS: being morally against missionary work, Wuthering Heights crossovers, and trains stuck in mudslides. As always, there's definitely spoilers, so proceed with caution.

This week's book was The Testaments, by Margaret Atwood. More info at http://margaretatwood.ca/
