Catharine Clarenbach bravely talks about what it is like living with Bipolar disorder.
Her first memory of thinking she did not want to live was at six years old.  She was from that point forward cycling in and out of depression.

Catharine had to learn to live with the extreme highs of Mania and the low lows of depression, all the while living with voices in her head telling her that she was worthless and should kill herself.

It took many years for Catharine to get a diagnosis.  With every misdiagnosis, with each dismissal Catharine felt an immense distrust for the system.

Eventually, through the help of a friend, she found the right doctor who put her on the medication that she needed.  Catharine's story is one of struggle, hope and finally joy.

Let this be a tale that there is hope, and with the proper medication it is possible to  live a beautiful productive life.
