Happy and Healthy Holiday season! Is that even possible?

With a little bit of mindfulness, you can stay happy and healthy during the holidays! 

The holidays are the best time of the year. You get to spend time with family and friends, reflect on your blessings, and eat delicious foods that you don’t usually eat. Everyone loves delicious holiday foods, giving gifts and enjoying friends and family. But all these can create stress in your life and can make it difficult to have a healthy holiday season.

During this awesome time of the year, your wellness routine suffers because you try to do too many things. It’s easy to fall into the trap of feeling stressed out and unhealthy. This is when most people tell themselves, “Whatever, I’ll just restart next year.”

It happens every year: at the beginning of January, you are all motivated about your New Year’s resolutions. In a month or two, you get burnt out and over your goals.  Then comes summer vacations and parties. Before you know it, fall is around the corner and along come holiday parties. As November & December come, you forget it and have no self-control, eat whatever we want as much as you want and skip the exercises because it’s too cold out or because it’s dark or some other excuse. 

January comes around again and the cycle starts back over. Do you need to start over every year? No, you don’t! Not doing so allows you to focus on new goals when the new year comes along.  So how can you keep the holiday stress to a minimum and keep your routines going?
