September is suicide prevention month and on this episode of Finding Her, Julia opens up about her story that began on Valentines Day 2008. As one of the millions upon millions of stories of people who struggle with mental health, Julia shares her story and basis for building her business and writing a memoir.  This is a very hard topic to discuss, but it is only through challenging situations and conversations blooms awareness, opportunities to kick the knees of stigma and helps save lives. Always remember that you have no idea what someone is going through as mental illness is both invisible and isolating. As a survivor, I have vowed to share my story in hopes to help others and provide hope to some or all who are feeling alone and in the dark. Finding Her is a community of like minded women who are coming together to learn skills on how to become the best versions of themselves. It just takes one person to help another, a welcoming message, a simple hello how are you or are you ok? Let's continue to spread awareness, offer safe vaulted conversations and help one another. That is what will combat the stigma that is keeping us hiding in the dark. KEEP SHINING the LIGHT on mental health. Speak up and advocate.
