One of the toughest obstacles we face as athletes is getting back into our fitness routine after a serious injury or a period of absence.

Earlier this year I tore my calf muscle and was left in a cast for 10 days. Now, while I was in the cast I sustained a SECOND injury.

My knee had swollen up the size of a grapefruit!

This whole year I’ve been battling my injury. I was unable to run, I felt it when I was walking, training, squatting - It showed up every time I moved.

Being active is a huge part of who I am so having that taken away from me was awful.

But I have to tell you that the entire time that I was injured, I did not lose faith. I knew that I would recover and come back to the things I love.

You see, so often when people get injured or are forced to stop training, they get extremely frustrated, discouraged, and disappointed. They remember the things that they were able to do and they don’t accept their current situation.

On this episode of the Fall In Love With Fitness Podcast, I will show you have to build up the mental strength to overcome any obstacle and become the athlete you were always meant to be.
