Dr Ronan Kavanagh is a practicing rheumatologist in Galway, Ireland and is the co-founder of the dotMED Conference which embraces all that is creative in medicine. In addition to his full time practice Dr Kavanagh is a regular medical blogger and has been one of the leading physicians on social media for many years. Dr Kavanagh is a medical columnist with The Medical Independent, is a consultant to several med tech startups and is also the chairman of the Macnas Theatre Company.
This discussion takes us through all the challenges that surface during a career in medicine and how embracing a more diverse range of interests can be the thing that adds balance to a busy life as a clinician.
