The desire for guarantees is a theme I see a lot in my practice. People realize that change is needed, but the thought of putting the change and themselves “out there” can be scary.

We feel reluctance to express our needs because we fear what others will think about us. So, it’s no wonder we want a guarantee that we will be met with approval and acceptance. But, of course, there are no guarantees when it comes to the way others will react.

It’s time we reframe our fear and think differently about risk. After all, we have the right to express our feelings, needs, and preferences without worrying about what others will think.

Thank you for listening. Be sure to tune in next time to learn about breaking through the “wall of anxiety” so that you can move forward with confidence.

Journaling can be a game-changing process. Just grab a pen and put your thoughts on paper. You might be amazed by how much it helps. But, if you continue to have trouble sorting out your thoughts, consider getting a copy of the Treasured Journal. The Treasured Journal includes questions, prompts, and sentence stems that will help you make sense of what you’re feeling. Get the journal and its companion meditation guide at this link:
