The second episode in the Disquieted Life series sees Emma talk to the philosopher Paul Standish about mental health and the ideas of the thinker Stanley Cavell.

 Paul Standish is Professor of Philosophy of Education at the Institute of Education, University College London. He has served as Chair of the Philosophy of Education Society of Great Britain and Editor of the Journal of Philosophy of Education. His books include ‘The Therapy of Education’ and ‘Stanley Cavell and the Education of Grownups.’Emma Williams is Associate Professor in Education at the University of Warwick. She is the author of ‘The Ways We Think: From the Straits of Reason to the Possibilities of Thought.’ She was formally Philosopher-in-Residence at Rugby School.
