In this week's episode, Digital PR students Emily Powell and Sierra Campbell will be talking about the impact social media can have on mental health in the workplace.

Our hosts discuss how social media can negatively impact mental health in a professional environment, specifically looking at PR practitioners and working in social media. They also dive into the topic of new and upcoming social media platforms and trends, and how as fun as they can be at times, PR practitioners may feel pressured to constantly be up-to-date on the latest internet trends and platforms. This episode also talks about making sure to take a step back and allowing yourself time to “log off” if you are suffering with mental health problems that could be influenced by time spent on social media.

The goal of this episode was to create real, raw and relatable content for other PR professionals who may be having the same thoughts or struggling in the workplace.
