At the age of nine, Tiffany Yu lost her father in a car accident that left her with a brachial plexus injury and a paralyzed arm.  Yu spent three weeks in hospital and four months in a wheelchair.

Yu went on to professional success, graduating with honors from Georgetown University, earning a master’s degree from the London School of Economics, and working for companies like Bloomberg and Goldman Sachs

Yu is the founder of Diversability, a community-driven organization seeking to rebrand the concept of disability, to facilitate conversations between disabled and non-disabled people.

Yu discusses the importance of community and inclusion for the disabled and her experiences as she has grown to accept her own disability and how she encourages others to do the same today.
