Theresa Rozul Knowles has been an educator for 15 years between the arts, special education, and cognitive skills training. She is a core faculty member at Lighthouse Writers, where she teaches multi-genres and all ages between the Denver Art Museum, UC Health, and various youth programs. Theresa loves to co-create with the beautiful communities throughout Earth, such as her recent collaborations as a mentor with the New York Foundation of the Arts and Denver’s Platteforum’s Immigrant Mentor Program, as a multidisciplinary artist with The Brdg Project, and as a poet for Boulder’s Streetwise Arts Boulder and Pink Progression. All of her experiences between education, three decades in the arts (which also includes theater, dance, karaoke), 36 years as a first-generation Filipina-Memphian, and as an artivist for the Malaya Movement, have been instrumental in filtering her life education for her curriculums and coaching through her business, Citrine Ink. Citrine Ink offers creative writing experiences through a decolonial and Spiritual lens to help people process, heal, and play.
