Spencer has spent his life in and around public service. He was raised in a law enforcement family and began working as a FF/EMT immediately upon graduating high school. For the past ten years, he has held various roles in Fire and EMS including firefighter, paramedic, and adjunct instructor. After experiencing a mental health crisis himself, Spencer recognized the need for mental health education and saw social media as a medium to deliver it. He now strives to provide no-frills, first-responder-focused mental health education through his Instagram page @TheMandoMedic
