Hi everyone and welcome back to another episode of the active mother's podcast.

The aim of this mini-series is to be able to share real inspirational stories of amazing women that ran throughout their pregnancy. To understand their running background,  how they manage to run throughout pregnancy, and the difficulties they faced along the way.

We are starting with what I would say a very brave and courageous mom, who decided at 7 months pregnant to sign up for one of the most difficult ultra races around the world, only to be completed when her child was 11 months old.

Today she will not only share with us her running experience while pregnant but how she completed the Namibia ultra race in the Desert after her first child.

This is one of the oldest deserts in the world, a vast region of Southern Africa that has been dry for more than 50 million years.  Daytime temperatures at this time of year can reach up to 50 degrees but as night begins to fall, at sunset the temperatures can drop to near freezing.
