17. The Power of Influence | Cole Herzik

Cole Herzik is a 2nd year Dental Student, Graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in microbiology and cell sciences and minors in theatre and dance. He is also the Public Relations Manager and Social Media Coordinator for the Dental Student Vibes Podcast.

If you're anything like me, you're probably absolutely petrified of going to the Dentist's office. Why is that? Throughout this episode Cole explains to me how important it is for Dentist's to establish relationships with their patients to make for a more comfortable experience. You may not have thought about it before, but there is an immense amount of psychology that also plays into Dentistry. 

Cole and I also discuss the state of our society and the social landscape of our current generation. We are a society that is obsessed with what is 'trending' or what is on the explore page of Instagram or TikTok. As we continue to surge head first into the digital age, it is crucial that we keep our goals, passions, morals, and motives in line and above all, stay true to ourselves. Cole is a very well-rounded, balanced individual with a good understanding around the psychology of we act the way we do and why we are always comparing our own lives to others. I really enjoyed this conversation and I truly believe there is a tremendous amount of value in this conversation.
