Sorry to disappoint our many new listeners tuning in to KITM today, but David Waldman’s talk in analysis of the oeuvre of seminal icon Steven Seagal concluded yesterday. In its stead we offer a smörgåsbord, a mélange, a salmagundi if you will… of stuff:

A man bought a dog for protection, he bought a gun for protection, the dog attacked him, and he shot and killed his mom, on Mother’s Day. Many die with equal irony every day.

Lisa Murkowski’s faith in humanity was shattered last week. She got over it. Susan Collins, however may have become permanently concerned once she discovered chalk on a public sidewalk uncomfortably close to her home. You could have broken Susan’s windows and crapped in her hallways and still it wouldn’t have affected her so deeply. Almost as bad as sidewalk chalkers are Republicans in DC who instigated the insurrection on January 6. The Capitol attack panel have been carefully and methodically waiting for it to become too late to do anything and have almost completed their mission. Donald Trump (and anyone reading this) will have died of old age long before any accountability ever reaches him.

On the other hand, you’ll probably die of COVID, even if you thought you got over it.

Money might not buy happiness, but if you can’t use your money to suck away other’s money and happiness, then what is it good for?  We might find out again as we remember how to aim our anti-trust laws at the most deserving monopolies.
