Welcome to the Fifty Fifth episode of Daily Daf Differently. In this episode, Rabbi David Rosenn looks at Masechet Shabbat Daf 56. In today’s daf, we’ll look at the connections between sin and death, and hear the sages of the Talmud defend some of the Bible’s greatest sinners. We’ll also see that the Talmud has some surprisingly modern views about the doctrine of reward and punishment.
