Welcome to the Fifty Fourth episode of Daily Daf Differently. In this episode, Rabbi David Rosenn looks at Masechet Shabbat Daf 55. Today we follow the Talmud as it uses a discussion about shabbat laws as a launching pad for a teaching about a completely different topic: the responsibility we all have for speaking out against wrongdoing, even if we think that speaking out will do no good.
Rabbi David Rosenn is the Chief Operating Officer at the New Israel Fund. A graduate of JTS, David is also is the founder of AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps.
