As marketers, we have to talk to people often - and interviewing is part of the gig.
As marketers, we have to talk to people often – and interviewing is part of the gig. I’ve lost track of how many interviews I’ve done in my podcast career but it’s probably in the neighborhood of 350-400.
One tip I’ve picked up is to be patient.
People are busy. One of my recent interviews on my personal podcast I began contacting in May of 2019, and it wasn’t until 8 emails and 1 in-person meeting that they finally scheduled to be on the show in January of 2020.
Sometimes these things take. Be patient.
