The happy society of the future will be socially just, environmentally sustainable and deeply democratic, in private organisations and at all scales of government. These three pillars mutually support each other.

As the French “Gilets Jaunes” movement of late 2018 showed, only social justice and democracy make the changes brought by environmental sustainability acceptable and legitimate.
Reciprocally, environmental sustainability is a pre-requisite for agriculture and thus for human civilisation to exist – but it is, before this, the means to ensure decent living conditions to everyone, even in deprived regions and areas. Decent living conditions for all and social inclusiveness are conditions for democracy to work.
This is why the sustainable society of the future must rely on three pillars: environmental sustainability, social justice and democracy.
